That's great - it certainly could have been a lot worse. OK, what we got looks straight foward, two clerks, two shooters. They take their time, the store's empty, they make a move. Clerk at the shelves panics, bang bang, cashier trips the alarm, bang bang, a quick grab, take the wallets and tail. We think they had a car, so we put out the word, but the odds aren't good. We'll take some prints and check the cameras, but the odds aren't good. What's the scowl? you forget something at the office?

Look, you're right, this isn't him. But he knew about it and set a trap, just to play. It's the game; he's trying to find out who I am, how I can be hurt. I think he got real lucky here, or maybe he knows more than he's given away. He got here first, and rigged it - you'll find it here somewhere - and Fuck! I just gave him my kid, his location, and a deadline. Steve, he knew this was going down, so he got here first. That's important. Who ever it was that did this, McCarty had a way to know about it.
