I'd say not quite so faithful to the comic as Sin City, but they did a fine job with it.
The Kovacs story line gets short changed a bit; his baptism is pretty weak. For that matter, so is Osterman's.
I can't imagine that the opening makes any sense at all to people who watch the movie without reading the book first - or at least without a native guide.
Why does the world's smartest man have a password that easy to crack? "Because it was in the book" is a shitty answer.
Laurie Jupiter is much better looking than Silk Spectre II.
