Master Maze @ Owlcon Acknowledgements

By most accounts, the D&D Master Maze tournament round that Jason Modisette and I ran together at Owlcon 2002 this weekend was a big success. Certainly, Jason and I enjoyed running it, and our players showed a lot of skill and imagination to match our setting.

I'd like to take a bit of this space to thank all of our beautiful friends for their contributions. First, we were generously sponsored by Dwarven Forge, who made it possible for us to run an adventure almost twice as big as we could have managed otherwise. In addition, many thanks to:

  • Angelo Benedetto, for goading me into even larger plans, and then providing creative and logistical support so that I wouldn't fail.
  • Ginger Stampley, whose painted miniatures I've been bogarting for a year now--they're finally coming home!
  • Elizabeth Benedetto, who also provided many miniatures, including some painted especially for this scneario.
  • Andy Solberg, for creative consultation.
  • Michael Casavant, for adept and indefatigable Owlcon overlordship.

And, of course, a special thank you for Jason Modisette, my co-designer and co-GM, who stepped up and has provided more help than I could keep up with.

Postscript: Owlcon 2002 itself was as well-organized an event as you could ask for. I know that Michael, Reema, Angelo, Jim, and Lars did an overwhelming amount of work, and it showed. The con has been growing steadily thanks to this team.

Update: Neither Jason nor I took any pictures of the event--we were both too busy running it! However, pictures were taken by various people, and hopefully I'll end up with some.
