Today, I wrote a letter to the Icelandic Ambassador to the U.S., Helgi Agustsson, asking that his nation reconsider reviving its active whaling practice. I can only hope that my letter presented my concerns with whaling in a Fair and Balanced fashion.
Here's the Embassy's contact page. I note that the Ambassador has an e-mail address, but I suspect that spamming it would not be effective.
I encourage all of you to write similar letters. Whaling breaks my heart. It's unnecessary and it's immoral, and people who attempt to justify it are, I think, scoundrels, at least in effect if not in intent.
