Fred Thompson is probably the most dangerous Republican presidential candidate out there. He's the next best thing to Reagan, and a lot of people are going to respond to his apparent charisma and authority without learning or caring about his actual policies.
Which are blood-curdling, simply Bush redux.
He's got lots of negatives. We can't let the right-wing media write his narrative. We've got to get out in front and make sure that every time some hack Washington media elitist writes a column about his avuncularity or his strong presence that they remember to include that he supports Bush's surge and continuing to extend and expand the Iraq occupation. And that he thinks Scooter Libby should be pardoned. And that liberal activist judges are to blame for America's problems.
Right now, I'm scared of Fred Thompson. If he makes it to winter as a viable candidate, we're in real danger of another eight years of disastrous conservative rule.

What makes me fearful beyond belief is that Hillary and Fred will sweep the primaries (because while she's got a lot of time to screw it up, Democrats love her) and Fred will utterly clobber her in the elections.
