What we'd like to compare to is the NLO prediction. Unfortunately, that's at the parton level, and our data is necessarily at the jet level. However, this scatter plot (which I showed a bit earlier) can be thought of as a matrix that transforms the parton level distribution into the jet level distribution, incorporating hadronization and detector effects. If you properly normalize the matrix, you can then take Jeff Owen's NLO parton level prediction and smear it for hadronization and detector effects.
