Amber Stylin’posted by Ginger at 08:57 PM, June 25, 2003 | Filed under : Traveller's Guide to Amber | Comments and Followups One of the ways that Amber is pretty obviously not historically accurate fashion-wise is the use of black as a fashion color. I’m looking at all the black garb at this costume ball and thinking that it looks more like a Danse Macabre than a dance for fun. Follow up: the trackback URL for this entry is: http://www.whiterose.org/MT/mt-tb.cgi/1864 2 Comments Rikibeth So we're not historically accurate for ENGLISH fashion. We're perfectly appropriate Spaniards. So nyeah! And wasn't the regulation outfit for being presented at Versailles black and silver? Double nyeah! :) Ginger How come the only Spaniard-looking guy wears green, then? I don't remember Versailles. It's way out of period for my costume interests. If we're running Amber by my period, there won't be breeches at all; guys will still be in robes. |
