IMC: The Regency

I don’t think this one was numbered, but it’s pretty clearly a part of the same exercise set, so I’m taking it on.

Many players know that Random plans to leave after the coronation masquerade (assuming everybody makes it that long) and do … something about the Situation in the Basement. He’s got to leave somebody in charge. Who should it be?

• Benedict pretty clearly has no intention of staying in Amber.
• Corwin is returning to Paris.
• Caine has naval business to look after.
• Bleys is taking his merry band of pirates back to the Land of Peace.
• Julian has a little war in Arden.
• Gerard has a pair of busted legs that he needs to fix.
• Martin has yet another Secret Mission (tm).
• Fiona’s going to Paris with Corwin.
• Llewella has business of her own to deal with from Rebma, even if she doesn’t head straight back (and Rebman ties may not be an asset under the new regime).
• Flora: are you kidding?
• The youngers as a group are an unknown quantity. Even those he knows relatively well, like Jerod, are unknowns compared to his siblings. This job may be too big for them.

Who’s left? Vialle, of course. Random’s leaving her in charge. Why did he do it? He ain’t saying.

Vialle won't be availible either of course, since Ossian and Lilly are kidnapping her.

Reid would make a wonderful Regent, though.
