No Right Answer

One of the interesting things about this scene has been watching the PCs respond to various events and seeing who’s active, who’s more passive, what they’re choosing to do. In terms of the last round of posts, it’s been interesting to see who responded by attacking Dara, who responded by defending, and who has done something else altogether.

There was no designated “right answer” for the PCs in this scenario. While it’s always possible for the PCs to affect what’s happening—we certainly didn’t anticipate the fight between Brita and Cleph—we just had the general layout of what the NPCs were likely to do. They’ve generally followed through on their original plans, with some variations, as have the Amber NPCs. But who could have anticipated Folly’s impromptu concert or Ossian’s decision to Trump out Vialle?

This will be the last big event featuring most of the PCs for some time. After we play out the aftermath of Dara’s attack on the masquerade, I expect the PCs will separate into smaller groups as they start working on individual goals. I think the GMs have gotten a lot of valuable information about how to throw things at different characters based on this scenario.

:) I was kinda of thinking the same about Robin. That she had been given orders by Julian. But what *that* indicates to me, Olof, is who listens to their elders and who doesn't give them their elders the handle on themselves. Hm? :)
