Notre Dameposted by Ginger at 10:56 PM, October 29, 2003 | Filed under : Traveller's Guide to Paris | Comments and Followups While I was googling for information for the Paris post in which Vere and the others walk to Notre Dame, I found two cool interactive maps of Notre Dame [one, two] that will help some of you envision the cathedral a little better. Of course, I found the information I was actually looking for in a book I already owned on Gothic architecture. (Here’s a picture of the nave, for those of you who don’t have my book.) The presence of Notre Dame should not be taken as an automatic indicator of the presence of a “Church of the Unicorn”. If anyone is really interested in the religious impulses of Paris, they should explore them in play. 0 Comments |
