Thread Timing

posted by Ginger at 10:19 AM, October 08, 2003 | Filed under : Netiquette & Play Procedures | Comments and Followups

We’re trying to move time forward, especially for the people remaining in Amber (the Paris-Rebma people and the Texorami people are already moving along nicely). To promote this, and to prevent continuity disasters, we are officially ruling that characters cannot start new threads that are “before” the last thread time-wise that the character is currently in.

For instance, Vere’s last thread is in Paris. James cannot start a new thread that happens before his departure from Amber. Similarly, the people on the boat cannot start threads before they got on the boat. If Jovian, Marius, or Brennan leave Amber, they’re gone and can’t have retcon threads, etc.
