IMC: Age and Perception (Youngers)posted by Ginger at 05:04 PM, December 10, 2003 | Filed under : IMC , NPCs , Player Characters | Comments and Followups Paul and Arref have been discussing this old entry of mine about the age of youngers and various people’s perceptions of their ages. There are definitely some clusters of perceived age in House of Cards. I tend to think of Reid, Brennan, and Martin as the oldest set of youngers. Brita, Lilly, and Merlin are definitely the kiddie table bunch, with Celina and possibly Ambrose as new recruits. The rest are in between in various clusters. Perceived age also has something to do with behavior. Vere in particular gets a lot of extra credit for being a policy wonk and not reacting to slights, which is probably what keeps him out of the youngest group. By contrast, Paige has shown a certain lack of self-restraint that may make the elders perceive her as younger than she is. Of course, this also varies by elder, so, for instance, Gerard will have a different view of the Ambersiders than, say, Bleys or Caine. 0 Comments |
