Some Points About Castle Xanadu

posted by Ginger at 08:44 PM, January 01, 2005 | Filed under : Traveller's Guide to Xanadu | Comments and Followups

From the OOC list:

  • It’s sort of on a ledge about 2/3 of the way up the mountain.
  • The river/fall pools alongside it, and flows over the edge into the bay.
  • The mountain sort of arcs back over where the castle is, as if the niche were cut out by the flowing water.
  • It’s a damn good thing you have electric lights, because you’d have a problem lighting the far side of the castle otherwise.
  • Desirable rooms are on the sea (east) side. More defensible rooms are on the mountain (west) side.
  • Like Castle Amber, the castle will not have a map/ fixed layout for players to look at. Settings in the castle will be added and mentioned as needed.
  • This may not be entirely consistent with what certain PCs saw on previous visits to the same spot. The geography probably changed a little when the fabric of the universe molded around the thing in the new basement. Deal.
