Brennan (Kiefer Sutherland)
Knight-Commander of the Order of the
Ruby
Played by John Novak
Brennan came to Amber for the first time after his participation
in the Patternfall War, bringing with him a reputation for his
military talents, and a deep satisfaction at his father's timely
demise. Named one of six Knights Commander of the Order of the
Ruby, Brennan has kept himself active in planning the defenses
of Amber, and now the new realm, Xanadu. A persistent advocate
of active defense policies and lasting solutions, Brennan has overseen
the creation of a standing army out of the veterans of Patternfall,
and maintains an active hand in the administration of the Knights
of the Ruby.
What is known only to a select few is that Brennan is also a Sorcerer
of considerable skill and subtlety.
All of this, Brennan must balance against his evolving ties to
his newfound brother Ambrose and
sister Chantico, and his discovery
that Ossian is his son, as well as his relationship
with Cambina.
Brennan's parents are:
Brennan's only known child is:
I look at you and I see so many might-have-beens.
What Brand might have become had he not been--flawed so terribly.
-- Fiona
You wouldn't know what to do with easy things.
-- Cambina
The universe is a game, Brita. I know because I
cheat.
-- Brennan

Brita (Maria Bonnevie)
Played by Monica Visinsky
Descended from a line of Viking gods, Brita's role in her childhood
home was to ensure the waters in the streams, rills, and brooks
ran clean. Her Amber heritage comes to her not only from her Mother Fiona,
but through Finndo on her
father Vidar's side. Brita
was sent away with her Cousin Reid and
it was with him that she survived the Black Rain and arrived in
Amber three years after the Sundering.
Since then, she has worked with the Rangers, discovered a Brother
in Conner, tangled with Cleph,
allied with her cousin Ambrose,
learned sorcery from her Nanna Clarissa,
tried in vain to save Adonis' life
when he sacrificed himself to save his children, and at long last,
come into her heritage by walking the Pattern.
Brita's parents are:
I can take care of my own honor, for he was mine
to kill, not yours, had I chosen.
-- Corwin, Nine Princes in Amber
To me, you just smell like kin of Amber.
-- Brita

Celina (Rosario Dawson)
Princess of Paris and Rebma
Played by Arref Mak
Although Celina was believed for some years to be a Seaward lass
ennobled as Queen Moire's
ward, she learned that she is the daughter of Corwin and
Moire and a potential heir to both Paris and Rebma. She was shocked.
The confusion of all this is not over and Celina's destiny still
unfolds.
Celina's parents are:
We all arrive uncorrupted. And yet the little anbaric
clock sniggers at us.
-- Celina
My luck stinks like three week-old squid jelly.
-- Celina

Conner (Michael Praed)
Captain of the Royal Navy (ret.)
Played by Rich DiTullio
Your cousin Conner has served quietly in Amber's diplomatic corps
under both Oberon and Eric.
He was never publicly acknowledged as a scion of the blood. His
most recent posting was to the Rebman embassy, where he was serving
as a senior official at the time of the Sundering.
During the Regency, he fled Rebma after an investigation into
a break-in at Llewella's residence
caused him trouble with the Tritons. He returned to Amber, where
he served as a member of the Regency council and a liaison to stranded
foreign envoys.
Conner's parents are:
So far I have served both Amber and Mother. With
luck I shall continue to do so.
-- Conner
And Father told me you were a diplomat.
Oh I am. But sometimes you get better results with
a crossbow and a kind word than just a kind word.
-- Edan and Conner

Edan (Antonio Banderas)
Played by Allen Veazey
Son of Bleys and a maiden of the
Land of Peace, Edan struggles to gain control of the powers he
has won and to sway Amber to his adopted people's side in his homeland's
wars.
Edan's parents are:
He walks like he knows how to use his sword, which
is nothing less than I'd expect from Bleys' son. In fact, I'd expect
him to be able to fight with one hand while composing a sonnet
with the other.
-- Brennan
I am... likely... not the best suited to discuss
the subject of God, or the ramifications of power.

Folly (Björk)
Knight of the Order of the Card
Played by Karen Alfrey
A Texorami-born musician of some renown, your cousin Folly arrived
in Amber on the eve of the Sundering with only the vaguest notion
of her own heritage. Her only knowledge of the realm at the center
of all things came from hints dropped by her former drummer and
lover, Prince Random of Amber,
who lived incognito in Texorami for a couple of years under the
name 'Syd Chance'. While waiting for his return, as Amber's armies
made war on the other side of the universe, Folly busied herself
serving on the Regency Council with her Amberside cousins and improving
conditions for the working class in Amber. She also, quite by accident,
fell in love with Random's son Martin.
Now Random is king, and Folly makes her home in his new Pattern-realm,
Xanadu, ready to serve in any way she can the king to whom she
is still fiercely loyal. Complicating matters somewhat, she is
pregnant and -- depending on legal interpretation -- is either
married or engaged to the child's father, Prince Martin.
Recently trained in trump artistry and metaphysics by Dworkin,
Folly hopes to use her new skills in the service of the realm,
in part by finding nonviolent means to reduce threats from enemies
-- with the paternal relatives of her daughter-to-be hovering near
the top of the list of possible hostiles.
Folly's mother and foster-father are:
Some days I wish we were normal, y'know? The rest
of the time, I forget we aren't.
-- Folly

Garrett (Jonathan Jackson)
Prince of Amber and Xanadu
Played by Brenda McCartney
For the first eighteen years of his life, Garrett was the son
of Donovan, one of the
horsemasters at Castle Amber. Since his childhood, he aspired to
be just like his father... until he discovered one day that his
father was not his father at all.
Garrett is instead the son of Random,
the newly-crowned King of Amber and Xanadu. Garrett's mother Anna,
after discovering herself pregnant with the former prince's child,
decided to "protect" her son from the Royal Family by marrying
her friend Donovan and having him raise the boy as his own.
Now that the truth is out, Garrett must find - or make - his way
in this larger-than-life family, without losing himself in the
process.
Garrett's parents and foster-father are:
Anyway, I was here in Amber some years ago. Not
doing much of anything. Just visiting and being a nuisance.
-- Random, Sign of the Unicorn
Do you want to be royalty, Garrett?
-- Folly
Oh, and you have no idea what princes of Amber do
or what it means to be one.
-- Martin
You need to learn to use your authority like an
extension of your mind and body.
-- Brennan

Hannah (Alex Rice)
Played by Liz Trumitch
Hannah comes from a shadow full of cruelty and hope, compromises
and strong beliefs. She leaves behind her family and her people,
believing that the world is bigger than her father's nation, and
her duty is broader as well. Having been lead toward Amber by the
Unicorn, she believes her life has a higher purpose than the one
she was serving in Mahkato. While she couldn't tell you what the
Unicorn intended, she's pinned her belief in a better universe
on keeping Gerard in it, and getting
him well enough to fully serve it. Now she just has to find a way
to make that happen - no easy task.
I'm not just going to stop doing things I've done
my entire adult life until I've proven there is more danger to
it than I already know about.
-- Hannah

Jerod (John Malkovich)
Prince of Amber
Played by Blake Moorcroft
Your Uncle Eric's son Jerod
has remained busy. With the advent of the Sundering, Jerod's talents
in both Court and Shadow have become apparent, delving into political
affairs with the nobility, aiding in the establishment of the Council
as well as assisting with shadow travel and commerce. Though not
afraid to argue his position with anyone (even his Uncle Gerard),
Jerod carried out his duties without reservation once a decision
had been made.
With many steps behind him, Prince Jerod embarks on a new path
that stretches before him. From a combination of hard work, lucky
breaks and a rising level of introspection, Jerod begins to take
the steps that he hopes will define himself not by what and where
he has been, but by what he believes to be right.
Jerod's parents are:
While the possibility that I am lying to you is
foremost in your mind, I give you my word that I am not.
-- Eric, The Guns of Avalon
Well thank you, Jerod. In the last five minutes,
you've alternately spoken down to me, insulted me, and tried to
manipulate me, all for the purpose of recruiting me into a conspiracy
of the highest possible goals. Now I feel like
a member of the family.
-- Brennan
[L]et us be direct because it is what I prefer.
-- Jerod
You sound like a brother, Jerod.
-- Corwin

Lilly (Zhang Ziyi)
Knight-Commander of the Order of the
Ruby
Played by Tara Kunkel
Whisked away from an orphanage in a shadow known as Chosan at
a very young age, Lilly was raised among the Tecys. It was there
that Benedict came to her and
requested that she help command forces during the Battle of the
Abyss. Having done a commendable job, she, along with her other
cousins, was knighted by King Random.
Now Lilly faces what she considers to be a far greater challenge,
finding her place within the courts of Amber and Xanadu.
Lilly's parents and foster-parents are:
King Random shall have at least one dutiful knight
in Amber even if it kills him.
-- Lilly, thinking about her role in Amber

a measure of personal and financial success. She has always been
stronger, faster, and perhaps wiser than those around her. After
coming to Amber in the wake of Huon's invasion
of her home shadow, she was kidnapped by Dara and Cleph and
she is now the subject of a rescue effort.
Meg's mother is believed to be:
Today I have learnt that I don't know an awful lot.
How can I help?

Ossian (Leonard Whiting)
Played by Olof Dahl [on hiatus]
Your cousin Ossian arrived in Amber at the time of the Sundering.
Ossian does not seem to have any large political ambitions. Instead
he takes an active part in the artistic life of Amber City. Among
his greatest achievements is the memorial monument of the Sundering.
How much he has learned from his tutor Brand,
where his loyalty lies, and what effect his recent discovery that Brennan is
his father will have on his loyalty, is unclear.
Ossian's father is :
Now, he's someone who might be dangerous if he put
his mind to it, but in itself he's too focused on his artwork.
Which is fortunate for him. I've noted that he seems to have a
lack of some of the more basic moral aspects of life. It's why
I consider him to be a potential Brand in the making.
-- Jerod
Oh, and remind me to tell you about the volcano.
-- Random

Paige (Angie Everhart)
Played by Kris "Knave of Amber" Kunkel
Paige made herself known in Amber as Bleys'
daughter during the Sundering. Since then, she has been a member
of the Regency council and a senior judge. The former owner of
the Prince's Retreat, a gentleman's club, Paige is still a member
and sits on its membership council. She's a fixture of the Court
when not on trade missions, and seen as a staunch loyalist. Support
of the progressive cause for women's rights has made her a topic
of talk in social circles. While not the leader of the movement,
she's one of its most visible proponents.
Paige has been romantically linked during the Interregnum to
both Prince Martin and Admiral Worth.
Her best friend is Folly, whom she's promised
to instruct in the art of Trump as she did Merlin.
Paige is often found at the stairs to Tir, turning Fortunes and
looking for the center that will bring her divinations clarity.
Possessed of a quick tongue and a quicker temper, she's comfortable
trading laughing barbs with Conner or
arguing with Jerod.
Her dalliance with Adonis has
given her a new hope in the twins she bore him.
Paige's father is:
Paige's children are:
They were almost lifelike in appearance, the Greater
Trumps ready to step right out through those glistening surfaces.
The cards seemed quite cold to my touch, and it gave me a distinct
pleasure to handle them.
-- Corwin, Nine Princes in Amber
I envy Paige, you know. She has so much more control
over her gifts, and she knows how to make Trumps. But other times
I think she's too attached to the past and the future to give the
present the attention it needs.
-- Cambina

Robin (Renee O'Connor)
Ranger
Played by Leslie Lightfoot
Robin was raised as the daughter of your Uncle Julian,
not that he or she ever came out and said that. (Which was in part
because it wasn't true.) She is a ranger and a conjurer, and devoted
to the Warden of Arden.
Robin is her foster-father's right hand with the Rangers; she
has performed many dangerous missions for Julian, up to and including
investigating the Black Road. While Arden is her first love, her
affection for Vere pulls her toward the castle
she otherwise fears.
Robin's mother is:
... [Julian's] hoodlum daughter ...
-- Flora
Robin is her mother's daughter.
Aye. That's what I'm afraid of.

Solange (Julia Stiles)
Knight of the Order of the Card
Played by Karen Klutzke
Originally created by Rikibeth Stein
Your cousin Solange grew up in Amber, fostered out to Worth and
his wife, Grace. She believed
she was the daughter of Prince Gerard,
but learned recently that instead she is the daughter of Ysabeau,
Gerard's full sister. After the Battle of Kolvir, Gerard sent Solange
away from Amber for her protection to Lauderville, where she attended
university and earned a degree in accounting and finance. Gerard
brought her back to Amber at the beginning of his regency, and
she was present in Amber during the Sundering. In the aftermath
of the Sundering, Solange served on the Regency Council and commanded
the Rangers. She was rewarded for her efforts when Martin made
her a Knight of the Order of the Card.
Solange is convinced that there is a technology-related solution
to the problem of Gerard's injured legs, and finding that solution
in shadow is always on her mind.
Solange's mother and foster-parents are:
I'm stubborn. So tell me again.
-- Corwin to Dworkin, The Hand of Oberon
Solange is a good girl. There's not a drop of malice
in her.
-- Gerard
