Redheaded Explanationsposted by Ginger at 08:01 PM, July 14, 2003 | Filed under : NPC Dialogs | Comments and Followups This dialogue is from an offlist thread in which Fiona and Bleys briefly get a chance to talk about their parts in the crashing end to Random’s coronation masquerade. Because it’s offlist, and thus may be a spoiler, the dialogue is posted in the extended entry. “He dragged her through a Parted Veil.” “They could be anywhere.” “This side.” “That’s how Dara and her companion left, as well. They’re together.” “Companion? What companion?” “A redheaded sorcerer. He Parted the Veil.” “Do you think?” “I wouldn’t put it past him.” “And Dara?” “Unknown. But she came here after Merlin, who knows a few tricks of his own. And survived using Grayswandir as a prop.” “How so?” “Raising a shield, not unlike my own. Although I expected the results I got. Dara used cards as the component, with Multiplicity or Integrity or some such.” “A rain of bloody death. How droll. And you?” “Attraction. I used my sword to protect Julian’s dragonriders. They were standing around like poleaxed steers.” “Clever of you to put them in your debt.” “It’s always nice to have the King’s allies owe you one. But I’m afraid I’m tapped. If we go through, I’m just a blade.” “The blade that fought its way up Kolvir’s side is no small thing, Bleys.” “You are too kind.” 0 Comments |
