Tiger and Lion Kissing in a Tree

by Mike Chary

Nothing to do with comics, but a genuine liger was born in Siberia. Has a real picture too. And as long as the subject is zoological oddities, this just gives me the heebie jeebies.

An annual RenFest in Carver, MA (King Richard's Faire), usually has a tiger show, and a couple of times they've had a liger in tow. Sweet jebus, but those things are huge, about the size of a black bear. Yeesh.

But is it a Shield Liger or a Blade Liger? (ducks barrage of thrown objects)

I feel like I should be making a Jushin "Thunder" Liger joke here, as the token professional wrestling fan, but I'll be damned if I can come up with one.
