Que Sera Sera

So, the Supergirl/LSH show on "Justice League Unlimited." Any reason Supergirl had to be 21? I kept looking around for her to be shotgunning Coors or something.

I thought that was odd too, especially given the old Legion "18" rule. My guess is that Dini and Cooke wanted to show the passage of time and development of her character. Also, "21" is nice shorthand for "she's mature enough to make her own decisions and step out of her guardian's shadow." Or something.

But that's just my guess.

It may be as simple as "she was a teenager when she first landed in STAS, this lets us give some idea how much time has passed since then," in addition to the coming of age Jon mentions.
