Spider-Man versus Batman. Batman wins because because he's smarter and is portrayed as using his smarts, though Spidey's ESP and strangth might make it last a while.

If Spider-Man had to defeat Batman for some reason because Aunt May's life depended on it, then Spidey would win. Spidey always wins in the clutch.
Frankly, Batman loses because he sucks.

For my money, everything in the three issues of Welcome to Tranquility so far. Not so many X vs. Y battles, but juxtapositions galore. Though it may be a bit too baudy for some of you golden-age wise acres...
