There's been quite a bit of coverage of this weekend's New York Comic Con. Here are indexes (up-to-date as of this writing, at least) from Newsarama and Comic Book Resources. I'm not aware of any Curmudgeons who are in attendance, but surely there are some con-goers who can offer reports from the showfloor. Who was there? What did you see and do?

I wasn't there, but I did follow your link to Newsarama, where I learned that DC will be doing a 3-isuue mini featuring a grim and gritty take on Captain Carrot. Then I threw up a little.
Along the lines of the Teen Titans story-in-a-story from last year?
I followed the link thinking Jason was joking, but alas, he's not. It takes off from that Teen Titans story-in-a-story. On the plus side, it's going to be by Bill Morrison and Scott Shaw!, so they may be able to pull the unappetizing idea off somehow.
Wow.
Hey, Didio, I've got this concept of 'Mazing Man as an embittered Gulf War vet with explosive fists I need to show you ... in this back alley over here ... where no one can hear you.
Had a drink with:
*Rich Johnston
*Heidi MacDonald
*Nelson
*Nick from Jim Hanley's Universe
*Captain Schoolgirl
*Daniel Ketchum
*Nick Barrucci
CB Cebulski refused shots several times.
Had a bite to eat at the Tokyo Pop booth with Jeremy Ross.
Eating and drinking... what more do you want?
That must've been a big table to have everybody around it. Was anybody talking about Captain Carrot?
I was in NY to see the Coast of Utopia marathon, so I was able to make it to the con on Sunday afternoon. Now, maybe that's not the best sample, but it seemed smaller than SF's Wondercon. Less space, fewer people, fewer comic re-sellers, and it seemed like there was almost no artist-alley presence at all, but I might have missed it. There were a lot of high-production value booths for video games, movies, and other non-comics products.
I went mostly to see the Jewish Side of Comics panel, which was excellent. I'd read the speculation about jewish subtext in Superman and Captain America's character designs, but I'd never thought of Thor in that category. Other interesting insights included the split markets for a book like Brownsville, since religious bookstores and Diamond aren't really in cahoots.

Did you do a tequila shot with Jim Lee?
I had a tequila shot with Jim Lee once. It took him eight months to drink it.
Said hello to him in the bar, didn't do shots with him.
