We're coming up on another second-Saturday-of-the-month, and that means it's once more time for all and sundry to gather at Manny's in Chicago at 1 p.m. for delicious food. Afterwards, the plan is to adjourn to a nearby theater (possibly the IMAX theater at Navy Pier) for a showing of Spider-Man. And, as always, you never know which (if any) notable co-creator of Spider-Man, the Hulk, and the Fantastic Four will be present.

Stan's already stood us up a couple of times. I'm bringing a Ouija board to see if we can get Jack to drop by.
I was just about to make that suggestion. (Twisted minds think alike, I guess...)
Also, you know, for a free plane ticket I could disguise myself as Stan Lee and do a pretty convincing turn.
Just discovered your blog, and am loving the entries here.
Curious--is this Chicago gathering thing an open invitation to fans and sundry as well?
Thanks for the good work!

The Chicago gathering is open to anyone and everyone who wants to join us. It occurs the second Saturday of each month, usually at Manny's Coffee Shop & Deli, which is at 1141 S. Jefferson (just off Roosevelt road a block or two east of the Ryan). We'll post an announcement when we get closer to the second Saturday in June, but we'd love to see you (and anyone else who is reading this) there!
