I am deeply sorry, but we're still experiencing intermittent showers and personal issues at Quick Review HQ and won't be able to get the Quick Review together (but as long as you know how to love, the Quick Review knows you'll be all right). We really, really hope to get back on track next week. Wish us luck!

Good luck Chris.
Now, I'd like to hijack this thread for a quick review of the grand ending of New Avengers #31 which shows us the future of the Marvel Universe....apparently the future is really bad art. If your big reveal is that *************** are *********** then really you should go with an artist who can make it obvious whether someone is normal looking or not.
Can you vague that up some more?
In any case, yes. I've been somewhat appalled at the art in the JLA/JSA crossover that's been going on, which is "third artist" at its worst.*
Say what you will about people like Greg Land, at least other superhero comics aren't his only source.
*From Jo Walton (via James Nicoll), talking about SF:
The first artist goes out and paints from life. The second artist copies the first artist. The third artist copies the second artist. [...] The first artist put things in because there were there [...]. The second artist put them in because they were trying to get close to the first. The third artist put them in because heck, that's what you put in. By the time you get to the third artist, using things like FTL and uploading yourself and aliens isn't speculating or asking "what if", it's playing with furniture in a doll's house.
well, i hadn't wanted to be throwing out spoilers, but the line was "everyone are skrulls"
Is it just Elektra? Everyone looks non-human there due to Lionel Yu (is that the guy?) faux jae-lee style and muddy looking art.
The "Third Artist" thing ultimately originates from Heather Rose Jones -- Dorothy Heydt quoted it on Usenet, and Jo got it from her.
The artist's name is Leinil Yu. As for the Avengers stuff, I'm going to start a separate thread so those who want to avoid spoilers can do so.
