Via Mark Evanier, D.S. Karroll has identified a key Bob Kane swipe in the first appearance of Batman.

Actually it's not the first appearance of Batman. It's the first appearance of Batman in the first telling of his origin in Detective Comics #33. His first appearance was in Detective Comics #27.
My bad. For some reason, I thought that shot was from the first story. Thanks for the correction.
