Mark Waid talks about the same new rule I wrote about here, but his version is even more restrictive, over in his "Waid Wednesday" column at John Rogers' place.
OTOH, he doesn't really address the pre-Miller third person omniscient caption voice, and I think he's underestimating the utility of captions in general.
