Dewhurst presses ahead without quorum
"You're not going to see senators brought back in handcuffs as long as I am lieutenant governor," Dewhurst said.
Ah, yes, the famed Texas Senate bipartisanship is now a pledge not to handcuff minority party Senators. Thank you, Tom DeLay.
Of course Dewhurst was against redistricting this spring and against breaking the 2/3rds tradition in June. We'll see if he makes it a trifecta of broken promises about maintaining Senate bipartisanship.
