Yo, welcome to New York![1] It's good to have another Rice neighbor. You guys will definitely have to come to the next New York area Rice alumni gathering. The last one was a serious party, very posh.
I can't wait to see your new place, and to take you and Ginger out on the town!
[1] I wish I could make an audio comment on your blog, so you could hear this as it is in my head. When I did my first AIDS Ride, I crossed the bridge from the Bronx into Manhattan, and immediately came across a construction worker who had been enjoying the beautiful weather while watching cyclists go by. As I rode past him, he yelled, "Yo, welcome to Manhattan!" in a typical New Yawker construction worker accent. It made me laugh. So, now I say to you, "Yo, welcome to New York!"

Oddly, I was about to write 'Yo! Welcome to New York!'. I've little idea why, what with _me_ not actually being in New york. Glad you made it safely, though.

Hey, are you still alive or has the bitter cold frozen your Texas blood?
More updates! You say you have no time? Pah! Being closer to the computer processor will keep you warm! :)
(seriously, I hope you're enjoying your new job)
