According to an article in The Register/Security Focus, police forensics units that really need to get at data in Macs are only really able to send them to "the acknowledged North American Mac experts: the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Evidently the Mounties have built up a knowledge and technique for Mac forensics that is second to none."
As FBI computer intrusion specialist David Thomas said, "If you're a bad guy and you want to frustrate law enforcement, use a Mac."
It's a good article, talking about what the FBI knows about computer crime and what consumers should know. But the quotes about the Mac were particularly amusing.
