A minor to do list...
March 10, 2004 Blogging
I want to write several longer entries about the Paranoia:XP design, but I can't get them done in 10 minutes. They're for after work/tonight's posts.
  1. Numbers are not good representations of skills To compare skills and tasks, we don't need numbers.
GM: "OK, what's your 'Flybot' Skill?"
Player Looks at Char Sheet, reads "Flybot: Basic": "Basic"
GM: "OK, you strap in and look for and find the 'Autolaunch' button."
  2. Dice are unnecessary Dice give players the illusion of impartial arbitrariness. Paranoia does not require impartiality of arbitariness, and if it does, has Friend Computer for that.
  3. The New Service model is a good thing. It leads to better internecine quarrelling.
I don't know how many entries this will be. Some.

You have so much time after posts to write things like this, too.

Still, I want to read them.

Yes, the first part was to assure you that I wasn't going to be a blogging fool when we needed to do stuff for our game.

I have apparently reached the stage of blogging where I say "I have something to say about X, but no time to say it, so I'll say I will say it later." Pity me. :)
