New Anti-Spam Measures...
March 16, 2005 Whiterose Admin
So, I added MT-Keystrokes to our server last night. It's a cool plugin that stops comments that are entred without at least one keystroke in the text field or a click of the submit button. It brilliantly stops spam which comes from evil botnets. If you install it properly. Which I, unfortunately, did not. The key here is that I didn't realize that the templates had to be updated for the preview form as well as the comment forms. So basically, I denied comments only from careful, thoughtful posters. It should be all over now. I hope.

Oh, good, maybe I should re-try posting that lost-in-the-ether comment I tried to make on the HoC blog yesterday. I was very confused where it went. I think this explains it.... :)

Yep, saw that in the log. If it doesn't work, tell us.

MT-Keystrokes: Fixed
Michael fixed the keystrokes problem and either fixed or uninstalled the problematic trackback plugin. Comments should work once the blogs......
