According to Empire Online, advance word on the "Starsky and Hutch" movie is so good that director Todd Phillips has been tabbed to helm a cinematic version of "The Six Million Dollar Man."
With Jim Carrey as Steve Austin.
Just as the Starsky and Hutch film will be a comic take on our old favourite, Carrey and Phillips are planning an 'exaggerated sendup' of the programme.
Why not just cut to the chase and call it "Inspector Gadget 3?"
Gosh, I hope we can get Eugene Levy to play Oscar Goldman, and Courtney Love to guest star as Jamie Somers.
Seriously, if they're going to send up 70's shows they should go all the way. Where the hell is my campy Wonder Woman movie?
Bad news on "Wonder Woman," from Monday's Dark Horizons:
"They're writing it really dark, and not campy, something along the lines of Batman and the new Catwoman."
Maybe Steve Trevor will be a troubled loner who plays by his own set of rules.
Goddammit! next thing you know, there won't be any cleavage and the Amazons will be powered by nanotechnology.
I'm going back to my childhood. I don't know who wrote this future, but they're doing it all wrong.
Only French Stewart can maintain and prolong this franchise.
