Alabama Chief Justice "Rudy" Roy Moore is outta here:
MONTGOMERY, Alabama (CNN) -- Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore was ordered removed from office Thursday after a state ethics board ruled unanimously that he had violated judicial ethics rules by defying a federal judge's order to move a stone Ten Commandments monument from the state judicial building.
Good. And take that stupid rock with you.
As a catholic, I'm down with Jesus. The 10 Commandments - little more than a recitation of common sense - in my opinion provides a generally solid code of conduct.
However...
These fucking religious whack-jobs need to learn to separate their religious beliefs from: (1) their work place; (2) politics; (3) subjects such as criminal sentencing and parole; (4) justifications for war and/or violence.
If (former) Judge Roy "Flanders" Moore - and anyone like him - wants to put up a replica of the 10 Commandments in their front yard, fine by me. If religious values help shape a person, imbue one with "morality," or give one an added notion of communinty and public service, I think that's super. But there is a separation of church and state for a reason; a line that has become far too blured for my taste with the current administration.
Personally, I think God belongs in ones life, assuming one so chooses. But I know where to find God: in my heart and in my church. However, God (and I use that term in an all encompassing manner to include all religions) doesn't belong in my government. Not the white house; not in the court house. Anyone who doesn't grasp that concept shouldn't be allowed to serve in public office.
Those fundy fools! those fundy fools! I do not like those fundy fools!
Do you like our Christian rules?
I do not like your Christian rules. I do not like them, fundy fools.
Would you like them in our courts? Would you like them said in sports?
I would not like them in our courts! I would not like them said in sports! I do not like your Christian rules! I do not like them, fundy fools!
Cool! in schools! in schools! in schools! would you like them in our schools?
I can't go on. It's for the best.
