The drawbacks to "liberal" drug use

In responding to a judge's order to release his medical records, Rush Limbaugh came just short of using the term, "vast, left wing conspiracy:"

"The Democrats in this country still cannot defeat me in the arena of political ideas, and so now they are trying to do so in the court of public opinion and the legal system," he said. "I guess it's payback time, and since I'm not running for office, they can't get to me that way.

Dude, your political ideas have been smacked down so often in the last ten years it's a wonder you didn't start gulping painkillers before Clinton was out of office.

At least then you could've blamed it on him.

Ok, I'm willing to concede that Limbaugh is dense enough not to understand that he has been, over and over again, defeated in the "arena of political ideas." But how anyone can be so stupid as to believe that there is a difference between the "arena of political ideas" and the "court of public opinion" - especially when that anyone has been a huge part of further erasing that line over the past decade or so - is totally beyond me.

Geez, why would anyone take anything the man takes seriously? (I saw this as a generally conservative person)

But if you're going to take him apart, why not ask why, so shortly after one would think he was taught about personal responsibility in rehab, he's now blaming everyone but himself for the predicament he's in? That would seem contrary to the teachings of most rehab programs.

And it's why I have trouble even caring what the windbag has to say these days.

BTW, he was wrong about Donovan McNabb too! :)
