First Armstrong wins yesterday's stage, the only rider to finish in under 40 minutes, then he wins Stage 17 to extend his lead over Ivan Basso to 4:09. At this rate, he could stop off during Stage 19 and have a beer with some spectators and still win.

Seven, anyone?

I've heard that the USPS is withdrawing US Postal support. Any idea where Lance and his co-conspirators will land? That may have something to do with the possibility of seven.

The theory I'd heard is that The Discovery Channel offered to sponsor them next, leading me to believe we just might see Tour footage on a channel I actually GET next year. That would be nice.

(And if they do sponsor it, maybe it'll be like when they first picked up Mark Burnett's "Eco Challenge" project and then helped him become the king of reality television. Maybe next we'll get cycling reality television. Like they'll actually SHOW the food and nature breaks. Or something.)
