"And the Trogdor comes...in the night."

First there was the college-ruled cartoon Trogdor, then the Trogdor video game, next came Peasant's Quest (in which you must attempt to defeat Trogdor for burninating your thatched roof cottage), now there's a trailer for the Peasant's Quest feature film (via Metafilter).

All I can say is, thanks to The Thing That Walks Like a Man, I had a Trogdor t-shirt before he sold out.

dun na na na NAH! Trogdor!

The CGI in the featurette seems top-notch. Gollum has nothing on Trogdor.

I want to know if T-shirt/goodie sales are really keeping homestarrunner.com afloat. It definitely seems to be a full-time gig. Are we sure they aren't running dangerous canadian medications to our nation's senior citizens between Strong Bad Email updates??

I am so hacked off, I can't get the damn thing to load...grrrrr...

Burnination! I'll be damned if I'm giving Trogdor one more second of my life. I played that damn Peasant Quest for 6 hours straight when it came out.

I think the Homestar Runner site is self-sustaining; they make enough scratch so that the Brothers Chaps do it full-time. Items like the Strongbad email dvd blew out, and they've had to go back to press more than once.

The "Peasant's Quest" trailer is great--re-live your favorite moments from the game! And regarding that trippy Kerrek footage...to quote Count Floyd, "Ooooh--SCARY!!!"

TTTWLAM, that's my question. Somehow I doubt there are that many net-geeks out there buying that many T-shirts and DVDs to afford the time they take to produce the sheer volume of content (SB Emails, games, other toons, etc.).Either that or I vastly overestimate the amount of time needed to throw one of those things together.

(Net-geek here with the SBE DVDs and giving the girlfriend a The Cheat hoodie for valentine's day. What's up with the cheat getting so many chicks?)

Considering that Homestar and Co. have been name-checked on the Buffy tv series, Conan O'Brien, and other hip, mod, with-it, and boss media outlets, I think there are plenty of fans that fall outside of the broke-ass net geek demographic.

Homestar (more accuartely, Strong Bad) is HUGE.

I have several of their tees, and have given some as presents...I, uh, also have the DVDs. Shut up.
