The good news is I have free movie passes to give away to the Houston folk. The bad news is they're for Fever Pitch, starring Drew Barrymore and that sucking chest wound of comedy, Jimmy Fallon. it opens April 8. The screening takes place Tuesday night (April 5), 7:30 PM, at the Edwards Grand Palace on Wesleyan off of 59.
Leave a message in the comments (or e-mail me at general_buck_vh@yahoo.com if you're too embarrassed to come forward publicly) and I'll send one to you. They're good for 2 people, in case you want to subject a loved one to the bowel-clenching horror of Fallon's "acting."
And no, this isn't an April Fool's joke.
"sucking chest wound of comedy." Priceless. I had to mentally jettison Randy Moss' rookie year reception ratio to make room for that. But I think it was worth it.
Jimmy Fallon does suck, but I actually want to see this flick. I think it's some over zealous freakout over opening day which is just days away.
p.s. Sorry about the Astros...in advance.
Yeah the only thing worse than Fallon is.....Tina Fey! I'd like to find the guy who told Fallon he had a modicum of talent. I've been dying to try out my new taser!
I think someone needs to remove SNL's feeding tube and let it die fitfully. Lorne Michaels doesn't deserve peace.
Someone's jealous of the subtle genius disguised in the HOTTIE body of Tina Fey.
Wow, Don! Have you been in prison? Tina Fey....hottie body?
Seriously, I wanted to find them both funny. I tried. I really did, honest! But their smug, self-satisfied, self-indulgent smirks everytime they said something THEY thought was funny then waited for the laughter they were sure they were due.....YAAAAAAAA! Sorry, that ain't humor.
The British version with Colin Firth was great, and I can't stand the fact that not only is Fallon in this, but it's about the *puke* Red Sox.
I still might see it because I like the Farrelly Bros. movies, but I'll have to take some anti-nausea medicine first. "Bowel-clenching horror" indeed, *snicker*
Have a good weekend Pete!
