oh. jesus. christ.

I never thought it possible, but it looks like Lee Greenwood has been dethroned.

And combining patriotism with "The Powers of Matthew Star" was pure genius.

I rarely use this word, but, yucky.

Don't do that to me again.
Ever.

Hee hee hee!

As the video opened, I shouted "You did it! I can't believe you really did it, you stupid bastards!" It made the video a lot better.

Egads! I think that more money would go to the charities listed on the web site if for every $10,000 donated the song was banned from one more radio station. The charities win and those who wish to preserve their aural sanity also win ... big! I know I would contribute some money to reach this goal. This would be a pre-emptive strike as I haven't heard it on the radio yet, but I'm sure that it will only be a matter of time.

Man, I love that pronunciation: Amer-uh-kuh!

As the video opened, I thought the singer looked like Weird Al--then the close up came and no--it was for real.

--Posted by Antinome on April 6, 2005 10:40 AM

But it would be REALLY great if Weird Al did a version of this song. Any ideas for lyrics? I'm stumped.

Maybe it's not such a good idea, actually. Maybe a better idea is me taking a pill that lets me forget the last 10 minutes of my life.

I kept waiting for the punchline but it never came and now I don't know what to do. Is the proper response to laugh or to cry?

--Posted by Amichai on April 6, 2005 6:30 PM

I think the intended response was to feel patriotic, with a slight tear in one eye.

My response was: ok, this is a bit much, even for me.
