Get the Load out

Ha! Bet you didn't know Herbie: Fully Loaded opened today. Not to worry, I'm here with all your reviewing needs.

Click here for a write-up of the best NASCAR commercial you're likely to see all year. And by "best" I mean "most ridiculous and unnecessary."

Good review. "Oil Necklace". Classic.
As a Dad whose son is just now entering movie viewing age, I am well aware of the dearth of children's films that I can stomach for the purpose of family movie night.
This one sounds like it was made for that purpose.

What's a little weird is that Disney doesn't garner any TV revenue from Nascar. Fox broadcasts the first half of the season and NBC the second.

Anybody care to hazard a guess how much Nascar and their sponsors paid directly to Disney for this marketing?

Even more eerie is that the next Pixar offering, and the last with Disney's oversight, is 'Cars'. This will, if anything, be even more of knob-slurping for NASCAR.

There's GOT to be some kind of a subsidy deal going on.

OFP857.

That was the original LOVE BUGS plate digits. Why I freeking remember that...I have no idea. I was the biggest Herbie fan as a kid. Scary. Very scary.
