I've never seen a Martin Lawrence movie.
Oh, I've seen movies Martin Lawrence has been in, I've just never seen one where he was one of the leads. No Bad Boys (I or II), no Big Momma's House, no Blue Streak. An old roommate of mine used to subject us to reruns of "Martin," but we could usually lure him away with promises of NHL '93. I did see Do the Right Thing and House Party, but couldn't tell you who he was in those.
Taking that grand tradition in mind, there will be no review of Lawrence's latest, Rebound, from yours truly. I linked to my review of the Australian zombie flick Undead, which opens stateside today, earlier this week. It's as accurate a write-up as you can expect after a drunken midnight screening.
Oops. That was pretty harsh. My apologies to all of the good looking cross-eyed, rectangular-headed people out there. Yyyyya.
I have to get over my general revulsion of Martin Lawrence to highly recommend the only good movie he has been in, "Nothing to Lose" with Tim Robbins. If not for supreme bladder control, I would have peed myself laughing about 6 times during the course of the movie.
Where can I find that "Undead" review? WHat did you think? I thought defintiely only bearable for midnight inebriation when it can actually be scaring. I have another movie I think you'd like...let me know if you're interested

I can't bear to watch Martin Lawrence on the small screen so why would I want to see him in all his cross-eyed, rectangular-headed hideousness on the large screen? I just want to ask one more question. Who the Hell is this guy schtupping/blowing to have any kind of entertainment career?!
