Don't be fooled

My review of Cars is up at Film Threat, and it is erroneously marked with a 3-star rating. I actually gave it 1.5 stars, but since the FT guys are currently in Sin City covering CineVegas, I don't expect it to be changed before some time this afternoon.

On another World Cup-related note, it looks like Carlos Gamarra is going to have to hire a bodyguard when he gets back to Paraguay.

Ooooh. I saw that when it happened, and all I could think of was . . . he is so dead.

Still - go Beckham! (What? Rauol's not playing today!)

Before the replay, I was fairly impressed that the shot went in. Afterwards, I was impressed by the spin that caused it to fly off Gamarra's head like that.

Gamarra is probably wishing he played for the USA, where fewer people pay attention to the World Cup and the media is too busy searching for missing white women.

Trinidad Tobago to the finals....Yay Caribians!!! It does take some imagination to recognize Sweden as a kind of soccer bully evil empire nation, but it was kinda cool to see the weak sister in North American soccer hold its own against a European nation.

damn spell check
C-a-r-i-b-b-e-a-n-s. That's as egregious as adding the n to latveria or whatever fake Baltic nation doom is from

Maybe Gamarra can recoil into his giant turtle-shell and shoot blue flames out of his ass in self-defense.
