Your weekend entertainment options

There's The Devil Wears Prada (3.5 stars), for those who'd like a humorous and well-written movie. Especially if your wife or girlfriend nixes your Superman plans.

Superman Returns is still in theaters, after grossing a mere (estimated) $35 million its first two days. Kids will like it, so take them quickly, before it's pulled.

Me? Ill be at home watching the World Cup quarterfinals. Go Germany.

I'd actually give Superman 3.5/5 stars myself. Griffin loved it (interestingly enough, he thought the kid was great- me, I was thinking "what a helluva corner to paint yourself into"). I thought Routh's performance was decent, Spacey was great as Luthor but his plot was irritatingly weak, and the surprise for me was Bosworth, who I expected to hate. Sure, her predecessor was a beast of a woman (Kidder), but hers was the first depiction of Lois Lane on screen that didn't consist of lines and color on paper that actually came off as a reporter.

can hardly wait! the book made the rounds in our office - we've definitely got a miranda type here!

And France is still in it. I picked them to go all the way (much to mockery of everyone I know), and it looks like it's going to happen - so in your face, friends and family!

Oh, and I LOVE the Italians as "diving cunts" thing. That was hilarious.
