- I kind of like the Jon Lovitz Subway commercials. I attribute it to a fond recollection of his Llewelyn Sinclair character on The Simpsons.
- Deep Blue Sea is one of those movies I can't help watching. I should probably just buy it, but it airs so much on TNT I don't see the point.
- Ditto for The Mummy, though we actually did own this at one point. And to which one of you did I loan our Casablanca DVD?
- The trailers to Monster House look pretty good. I think it might be this year's Sky High.
- Half of my Sunday night TV viewing isn't really a "guilty pleasure" thing, as I consider The Venture Brothers to be one of the finest shows on TV right now. The other half, Cheaters, is decidedly not.
- I like blogging, but am rapidly running out of free time with which to keep it up.
Confession time:
-- I understand about the lack of free time, but I am hating even the concept of a world without APCB.
Here's hoping it works out for you to keep this blog up. But if not, at least know that it'll be missed.
Like you, I am compelled to watch Deep Blue Sea whenever it is on. But I only watch it for one moment: when the ginormous shark leaps out of the water and eats Samuel L. Jackson. And then I laugh until I cry and change the station.
Dude.
The trailer for Monster House is airing at ALL animated movies.
And it gives a fair amount of the kids nightmares.
(Including one of mine.)
Not so fond of waking up to shrieking...

Re: last point. Well, no wonder, what with the compulsive TBS-movie watching. PLAY ENJOYED... BY ALL.
Venture Brothers is pretty freakin' great. Minoriteam is okay, too. And Boondocks has gotten better, IMO. Though, my greatest TV watching pleasure lately has been from Netflixing the first season of Battlestar Galactica. That's some dope shit, right there.
Venture Brothers is the best thing on Cartoon Network, to be sure. Last week's episode had story structure that impressed the hell out of me, especially for a 22-minute show.
As for Minoriteam and the rest of the new AS 15-minute shows, I can't get past the awful art. They might be brilliant, but wow do they look awful.
Boondocks, on the other hand, may be the best-looking show on Adult Swim, but its writing, well, sometimes it's not aimed at me, and sometimes it's not very good. (Although having Samuel Jackson voice one of the punk-ass white kids is probably brilliant.)
Venture Brothers DOES kick ass....I didn't know anything about it and caught it recently. I still don't know anything about it, but I like it.
My guilty pleasure movie is DREAMCATCHER.It's so brilliant and equally as stupid...at the same time! I'm also quite fond of ARMAGEDDON (bring it on PVH) and THAT THING YOU DO! but I don't consider those "guilty" pleasures.
Absolutely LOVING Venture Bros. this season so far. Currently my favorite show. It's scratching an itch that has been there since they cancelled The Tick. Oh, and Ben Edlund is supposedly writing some episodes this season :D
